When and why did you start CrossFit?
I began CrossFit in the spring of 2008 after graduating from the University of Iowa. I had been training kettlebell classes and athletes at a local gym and then accepted a position to direct the CrossFit program at Fit2Live in Iowa City.
Bachelors of Arts in Health and Sports Studies with an Emphasis in Health Promotion and a minor in Sociology from the University of Iowa (2008 Graduate)
How did you end up at CFB?
I moved to the QC area in 2011 after I accepted a position at a local box to start up and direct their CrossFit program. In 2012, I decided to open CrossFit Bettendorf in a 2,000 sq. foot space in Cumberland Square. We started with 20 members and have since grown to over 200 members and have also moved into a 4,500 sq. foot facility!

I CrossFit because...
I love challenge CrossFit presents to me each and every day. It allows me to train all of my physical skills and push myself to limits I never thought was possible. CrossFit brings out the best in me each and every day.
I coach because...
I love to help people better themselves and change their lives. We have all types of athletes at CFB, elite athletes who want to compete, fitness enthusiasts who are looking for a great workout, and beginners who are just trying to get back into shape. Coaching provides the challenge and opportunity to help all of these people reach their goals and better themselves each day.
